VISITS AND VISITOR INFORMATION

Each year the children take part in day trips and visits. In addition class teachers may organise local visits to places of interest as an extension of the curriculum.

In Years 4 & 5 children have the opportunity to take part in an outdoor adventure residential visit. The health and safety of the children is paramount. Staff are always appropriately trained. Children in Year 6 take part in a trip after their SATs to celebrate their 7 years in school.

A wide range of people visit the school from time to time to enhance the children’s learning.

All regular helpers in the school undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

CHARGING POLICY

Activities offered wholly or mainly during normal teaching time are available to all pupils regardless of the parents ability to pay. We invite voluntary contributions to support some activities organised by the school. No child will be excluded from an activity due to failure to pay a contribution. However, activities may have to be cancelled if sufficient funds are not available.
