Catmose Primary is a 210 place school with academy status in Sandringham Close, Oakham, Rutland. Our school is friendly, calm and happy. Children enjoy their time with us and leave very well prepared to start their secondary education. We are the only feeder school for Catmose College whom we work in partnership with through the Rutland and District Schools’ Federation. We always welcome visitors and would be happy to give you a tour of the school, as this is the best way for you to determine if we are the right school for your child.

We are so proud of the children and staff at our School; it really is a welcoming and exciting School to be a part of. Our current Ofsted grading of Good in all aspects reflects this.

We have a Creative Curriculum across the School which encapsulates the way in which we work. It is designed to be Individual, Innovative and Inspiring, our 3Is.

We treat our children as individuals, we inspire them to learn and we want them to be innovative and enjoy their learning journey here at Catmose Primary.

Learning is a lifelong journey; our main aim is to ensure that every child succeeds and has the skills they need to continue that journey.

We hope you will come to Catmose Primary to meet the children and staff; we know you will be as impressed by them as we are every day.

More details on the School can be found via the menu above or on the DfE website.

Our Values and Ethos

The School exists to ensure that its pupils are happy and successful. We have created a friendly, child-centred environment where the partnership with families is essential for ensuring that all make outstanding progress. All our pupils leave us ready for secondary school having followed a curriculum that is Individual, Innovative and Inspiring.  The school motto is ‘Success Achieved Together’ and this underpins all strategies in place at the school.
